Follow these steps to set up Parentyx on your child's Android device.
Important Note
We encourage transparency. Please discuss the use of monitoring tools with your child to build trust.
Before you begin, make sure you have the following ready:
Get the Parentyx app file on the child's phone:
Tip: You can also transfer the APK from your own phone via Bluetooth, WhatsApp, or a USB cable.
Android blocks installs from outside the Play Store by default. You need to allow it:
Tip: On Samsung phones, go to Settings → Biometrics & Security → Install Unknown Apps.
Now install the Parentyx app from the downloaded file:
The app needs specific permissions to monitor the device. Grant each one carefully:
Tip: Some phones (Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo) have extra settings like "AutoStart" and "Background Running". Make sure to enable those too.
Link the child's device to your Parentyx parent account:
You can hide the Parentyx app icon from the child's home screen:
Tip: We recommend being transparent with your child. Hiding the app should only be used if absolutely necessary for safety reasons.
Confirm everything is working from your parent dashboard:
